This presentation goes through step-by-step procedures using 7 strategies for finding the most challenging data.  Strategies include the use of collaboration, search engines, the tomes, property records, broadening your search, on-site hard copy, and DNA evidence.

James Baker earned a PhD in sociology from the University of Utah and is retired from a career in the aerospace industry. He has been an officer of the Sacramento German Genealogy Society and has written 12 articles for its quarterly publication. He has also written articles for NGS Magazine and NGSQ (forthcoming). In 2011, he completed requirements to become a Certified Genealogist with specialties in German and Midwest US research. He is a frequent speaker for local and national audiences.
