Webinar Registration

Staff with the Nutrition and Wellness Programs Division of the Illinois State Board of Education will present this “Training Tuesday” webinar.   The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) nondiscrimination regulation (7 CFR 15b), as well as the regulations governing the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program, make it clear that substitutions to the regular meal must be made for children who are unable to eat school meals because of their disabilities, when that need is certified by a licensed physician.  This webinar will discuss accommodations for students with and without disabilities including food allergies and substitutions requested for milk.   Complete information on this regulatory topic may be found in the NSLP Administrative Handbook available online at http://www.isbe.net/nutrition/sbn_handbook/toc.htm.
